I have sores and have tried many treatments. Decosanol 10% (Abreva) is approved by the FDA and clinical studies have shown that shortening the duration of cold sores, but after reviewing the clinical studies, it appears that the shorter duration of the order of 10-15%. This means that a cold sore, which generally takes 10-15 days to solve could clear a day earlier. 34% believe that early treatment of wounds on the left side, but it was 23%, which used a placebo. I use Abreva, but I think the best thing is that I feel something to do. You do not know who makes a big difference. I think the best way to treat cold sores is to prevent it. I realized that alcohol was a trigger for me, and then to drastically reduce my consumption of alcohol rose from lip herpes every 2-3 months 1-2 maybe a year. Also use sunscreen on your lips, UV light is an important trigger.

Breaks tar is usually about 1-2 weeks to heal, can regularly review the application of Abreva the normal healing process to reduce by half. You can also prevent the break when Appy that burst the first signs or symptoms. I recommend, but there is also another product called Lipactin the same effect as Abreva but the cheapest and clear.
